Bonnington studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris, and went at the age of twenty to paint in Italy. His work is highly complemented for the colour, poetry and the life they contain in them. He tragically died in Italy at twenty-six years of age. He is represented in major English and European museums.
